According to this story, the beginning of the history of Sex on the Beach cocktail dates back to 1987 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Every year thousands of college students enjoy their spring break in the Spring break party that lasts a week, where they look for sex, beach and alcohol. Taking advantage of the influx of tourists, a contest was made and a local bartender had the bright idea of combining peach, vodka, orange juice and grenadine. No doubt that was a success and when someone asked how the cocktail was called, the bartender, pointing his hand towards the sea, shouted, "Sex on the beach!" bearing in mind the Spring break that had just begun.
